NEW Utah Public Radio mug design submission!
Today (Valentine’s Day!) is the deadline to submit a design for this year’s Utah Public Radio mug design used in fundraising coming up later in March. Something jump-started in my brain to start a design this last Sunday and I just finished this yesterday. I learned a new word: Abecedarian. As a noun it means someone who is learning the rudiments of something, such as the alphabet. So I gave myself the challenge of creating a design which uses a word with every letter of the alphabet. Each word is something that inspires me in Utah, including “U” for Utah Public Radio. I love the mashup that is flora, fauna, and places in Utah. Most difficult to find was the letter “X.” I learned about the Utah night lizard, Xantusia vigilus utahensis, named after its discoverer, John Xanthus. And these lizards have a lot of unusual habits which I won’t illuminate here! Look it up!
All submitted designs should be on the UPR website soon for voting. Please check them out and vote!
